Through EMIS Access patients can -

• request repeat prescriptions
• view their GP medical record
• send secure messages
• update contact details
• pre-register if they are new to the surgery.

Every patient requires a unique user ID to log into EMIS Access, once logged in the service is simple, and most importantly available 24/ 7. For patients with hectic lives, who work shifts or have mobilisation problems this service has proved invaluable. They are able to contact the surgery at all hours - before or after work or even in the middle of the night, it couldn’t be easier.

Saves you time

Practices have reported a dramatic reduction in administration time and overheads as EMIS Access is fully integrated with the EMIS clinical system. Full integration ensures your clinical system is maintained up to date in real time – with no manual intervention from practice staff.

What’s more, it has been proven that EMIS Access can significantly reduce DNAs and free up practice telephone lines for patients without internet access - allowing reception staff to even out their workload, spend more time with patients and concentrate on activities that contribute to maximising QOF points.
