EMIS finalist for Microsoft Partner of the Year
EMIS has been awarded finalist status in the worldwide Microsoft Partner of the Year awards, for its work on data sharing with EMIS Web.
The award is focused on how EMIS has harnessed technology in a unique way to deliver real benefits to its customers.
Microsoft heard how EMIS has been helping to deliver improved patient care in areas such as Liverpool, Gateshead and Tower Hamlets, through accessibility of patient data via EMIS Web. The judges were provided with details on how providers of extended care services can securely view the GP patient record in a variety of settings, such as unscheduled care, minor surgery and physiotherapy.
Some of the user feedback we have had so far includes:
Patient of the anti-coagulation service, Liverpool PCT: “you are advised then and there about dosages and the next appointment, which is excellent. This scheme has changed my life.”
Cheshire PCT: “we have received very positive feedback from patients – they recognise the value of sharing information to improve health services and health outcomes.”
Liverpool PCT: “for community nurses travel time to and from GP surgeries is reduced, with an increase in proactive working and decision making.”
