PalmGP

EMIS PalmGP for LV is a portable solution for GPs on the go. The software provides medical record viewing and consultation recording on a Palm OS device. EMIS can provide a complete package of software, hardware and training, to ensure that you have everything you need to use PalmGP.

Patient data is downloaded seamlessly and securely from the main system onto the Palm, without locking the medical record held at the practice. This can then be used outside the surgery on home visits, in nursing homes and schools, and even by out of hours doctors to view the full, up to date patient medical record. Consultations added to PalmGP can be uploaded into the main clinical system when the device is connected.

Clinicians can view the full problem list and the 20 most recent consultations. They can access full current and past drug lists, past consultations, immunisations and drug allergies. Values are also included, with display of normal ranges and lists of past values. Full problem management and prescribing functionality is available.

As with all software updates from EMIS, PalmGP software is free.

Training

EMIS can provide training on PalmGP, to ensure that you can make the most of the software. A three hour session will provide users with an in depth knowledge of how to install and configure PalmGP devices and will demonstrate the full integration with the EMIS software.

The training will include:

• Downloading and uploading patient records
• Viewing medical records and consultations
• Adding consultations and prescribing drugs
• Maintenance of your handheld device
• Extended training sessions are also available.

Hardware

PalmGP currently operates on Palm M130, Palm M515, Palm Tungsten T and Tungsten E devices.
